Had me a wee bit of an oops.

I got all my measurements of Carfolio, and they were totally wrong, so when I got to fitting the door and the wing, this was the result

So I had to get it to look like this

But It meant cutting it in 2 again and lengthening the floor by 60mm, its 55mm in this picture, but I want another 5mm for the door to b post gap

So it got to squaring it up at last, decided to make myself a set of axle stands with precision adjustment

Moved it all around to square and then pegged it in place, and then started on the O/s sill step

Sill step done, it was time to make a start and get the door on

First step is to make some adjustable hinges

And a sneak preview on the wheel option,

Original 14" Ghia Alloy on the left, 18" BMW 32 style on the right

Made me a start on the A post, started by making the shape on the door, so this is the post and the seal edge

And placed roughly where it goes, I then screwed it to the door, and bolted the door in place, and gave it a few tacks

Started making the top of the post where the screen surround joins the BM scuttle

To all the haters who keep banging on about cutting up a perfectly good GGC.....well this is what it looks like all over under mounds of filler...A patchwork quilt

Trial Fit, just to find a straight.

And check out what the cheeky little buggers have been building on my garage door
